When you take the plunge and ditch your long locks for shorter hair, it’s often assumed that you are leaving behind the option for beautiful updos. With the right advice, products and tools, you can adapt and create a variety of gorgeous updos with minimal effort.

It is important to always prep your hair using the correct shampoo and conditioner to ensure the best results when styling. For an updo it is best to use a duo that will fight frizz and smooth hair such as our Instant Allevi8 Shampoo & Conditioner. Some twists and pins can create an eye catching style that looks gorgeous and can take you from day to night. Spray Elements Sandstorm through your hair to give a matte, dry look. Use Defence Extinguish – a heat protection spray, to shield the hair from heat damage. Use a curling tong on small sections and curl randomly and roughly. Brush through the curls for a more wispy and dishevelled look. Pull sections from each side and twist vertically up the back of your head pinning into place as you go.
