Hair trends come and go, however one trend that has true staying power is the popular request for pastel hues.

Pastel colour tones will always have a place in our hearts bringing creativity and playful femininity to life. How To:

1.  Start by shampooing your hair with your preferred shampoo to cleanse your scalp and your hair ensuring it’s clean and ready for toning.

2.  For strong colour results, paint Novafusion onto very towel dried hair or even dry hair.

3.  For more even coverage and pastel shades, use your normal shampoo twice, leaving a small amount in your hair before washing out the second wash. Start adding Novafusion shampoo over the normal shampoo. It will deliver more even colour coverage through the hair. Leave on the hair according to results desired.

The more porous your hair is from lightening, the stronger your colour results will be. We recommend starting with less and building up slowly so you can achieve the result you are looking for (it may take a few tries to achieve the colour you desire). Start at 5 to 10 mins working your way to 20 mins.

If you feel the colour doesn’t suit or isn’t what you envisioned, we recommend washing it out immediately using Essential Treatments Absolute Deep Cleanser; paint it onto dry hair and leave for 10-20mins before washing out.

Blondes can try Pearl-Violet

Blondes wanting to tone away brassiness and leave a tinge of light violet pearl can try this combination:

• 6 x pumps* Novafusion Silver

• 2 x pumps* Novafusion Rosewood

• 1 x pump* Novafusion Beige Blonde

Mix in your hands or in a small bowl and spread onto your hair; repeat colour quantity if you need more colour for longer hair or stronger results.

This delivers a pearly blonde tone with elements of very light violet, suitable for very blonde hair.
