With her artwork heavily inspired by childhood memories of playing amongst the banksia in Bilgola Plateau, NSW and the wilderness of Victoria’s Macedon Ranges, Australian artist, Tilly Myers, is now sharing her distinct acrylic paint artistry with De Lorenzo for the brand’s 2024 Christmas packs, and Limited Edition Bon Bons.

Striking contemporary designs encompassing Tilly’s unique interpretation of Australian native botanical emblems, have been incorporated across the 2024 Salon Christmas Instant Series packs and De Lorenzo’s festive Limited Edition Bon Bons, available in five variants and featuring a Limited Edition Hair Perfume as an option.

The vibrant designs are distinguished by a colour palette of bright blues, pinks and purples playfully bringing to life each native pod, petal, branch and leaf featured on the packs.

These purposefully align with De Lorenzo’s values, and inclusion of Australian native plants and botanicals as ingredients in all product formulations featured in the Christmas packs.

Says Tilly, “I take identifiable botanical emblems and put them through a modern spin cycle, twisting traditional with contemporary where bright colours, stark contrasting tones, exaggerated features and forms compete with fragile lines, clean space and polished detail.”

The signature line work featured in Tilly’s work is a nod to nature’s blue print and the age lines that bind all living things, further connecting us and paying homage to our beautiful Australian flora.

“If you feel a sense of wonder and excitement, a sense of adventure and exploration - as if in a botanical wonderland - when viewing my art, it is truly doing it’s job,” says Tilly.

Now 44, Tilly enjoys painting from her home studio, which backs onto bushland, in the Southern Highlands, when she is not working as an Event Manager for the NSW Government and raising her young son.

Tilly has been fully immersed in her craft since 2019, when the loss of her husband inspired her to pursue her creative endeavours. Since then she has hosted three successful solo exhibitions and selling her distinctive artwork throughout Australia, Canada, England and France.
